Dr. Rawal is a Medical Director and Chief of Urology Oncology at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre, New Delhi, India. Dr. Rawal received his MBBS from K.G Medical College, Lucknow, India; MS (General Surgery) K.G Medical College, Lucknow, India; M.Ch.(Urology), Christian Medical College, Vellore (MGR Medical University Chennai); DNB (Urology), National Board of Examination, New Delhi, India; Fellowship, CPDR (Center for Prostate Disease Research, Rockville, Maryland (USA). Dr. Sudhir Rawal is one of the leading Urology Genital surgeons in India, with special interest in Robotic Surgery. He is having more than 30 years of experience in Genito Urinary Oncosurgery. He routinely performs procedures such as Radical Prostatectomy, Radical Cystectomy, Radical Hysterectomy, RPLND, and complex urinary diversion like continent pouch and neo bladder. “Pitcher’s pot Ileal Neobladder” is one of his innovations which finds place in leading urology publications. Dr. Rawal is the first Uro Gyne surgical oncologist of North India and heading the department since the inception of Institute. He did first open Retropubic Radical Prostatectomy in private sector in India. Besides this he has done maximum number of Radical Prostatectomy, Radical Cysto-prostatectomy Neobladder, Robotic VEIL, Robotic RPLND (Post Chemo) in country. He is an active member of various national and international societies such as American Urological Association; European Urology Association; Urological Society of India and Société Internationale d’Urologie. Dr. Rawal has extensive experience in various clinical trials. He is an editorial board member of World Journal of Urology, President of NZUSA and published more than 150 research articles in national and international journals.
