Dr. Dharam P. Chauhan received his Ph.D. from the Post graduate Institute of Medical
Education and Research (PGIMER) Chandigarh in the field of Experimental Medicine /
Gastroenterology (1980-1987). He received Fogarty International Post doctoral
fellowship in 1987 for Postdoctoral Training in the field of Perinatal carcinogenesis at
the NCI-NIH Fredrick, Maryland. He joined junior faculty in the Department of Internal
Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology at the University of Michigan (1990-1995). In
1995, he moved to the University of California, San Diego (UCSD), and became
Professor and Director of Hepatology research in 2004 at the UCSD. He was also
Director of Basic Science program in Division of Gastroenterology (1999-2003) at the
UCSD. He is the President and CEO of International medical Education and Research
(IMER), San Diego, California since 2002. He was Director of PET-CT Mobile Center
Stony brook, New York (2005-2007). He is also president and Chief Scientific Officer at
Drug and Alcohol Testing Management, San Diego, California since 2003. He was Chief
of Clinical Sciences at Atrius Biosciences (2006-2007) at Boulder, Colorado. He was
president of Clinical Laboratory (CLIA and CAP Certified) San Diego, California (2011-
2019).
