Anurag Mehta

Dr. Mehta is a Director of Molecular diagnostic services and transfusion Medicine; Director of Research and Biorepository at the Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute and Research Centre at New Delhi. He did his MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi University in 1976. Dr. Mehta did his MD (Pathology) from the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune University in 1982. He completed his post-doctoral training in oncopathology from Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai in 1995. He is an expert in the field of oncology, surgical pathology, hematopathology, anatomic pathology, cytopathology, and transfusion services. He did his WHO fellowship in Lymph Node Pathology in 2000 from MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas. He is a retired Professor and Chairman from the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune (2008). He served as an expert pathologist at various hospitals in India. He received several awards in the field of pathology. Dr. Mehta is an Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Current Oncology. He is also a scientific reviewer of various journals. Dr. Mehta has published more than 100 scientific papers in peerreviewed journals and presented his research work in various national and international meeting. Dr. Mehta is an active member of various associations and societies such as Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists; Indian Association of Hematology and Blood Transfusion; Indian Association of Blood Transfusion and Immunohematology; All India Association of Hospital Waste Management Member International Association for Study of Lung Cancer; Member International Society for Biological and Environmental Repositories and Chairman- Member; Board of study, Medical Council of India for curriculum designing for Undergraduate and Post graduate courses in Pathology and Chairman of Immuno-oncotherapy summit 2019– Fox Chase cancer center and RGCI collaborative Effort.
